Abby, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Encinitas, California

Location:
Encinitas, CA
Description:

*** Abby and Annie are in a foster home. ***Abby: black/white bicolor, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 11/1/23, #18964Annie: black/white bicolor, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 11/1/23, #18965 (diamond nose)Cats: great together, must have feline friend Dogs: do well Children: gentle kidsAbby and Annie are two of nearly 30 cats of assorted ages who were discovered packed into crowded crates and dumped by a river. The woman who found them brought all of the cats into her home and then started calling around to rescues. The Rescue House stepped up to help the large clowder. The cats were all underweight and needed TLC and varying degrees of medical care, but their sweet and loving personalities were clear from the start. Abby and Annie are now ready to take the next step and find themselves a forever home! Both of these petite sweethearts are well-socialized, eager to interact, and LOVE attention!---Abby is an easygoing girl with an overall calmer nature, though she's still the first to run up and greet her foster! She likes sitting in your lap or lying on your chest. Abby enjoys most toys, though her particular favorites are trackballs and interactive wands.---Annie is also easygoing and can often be found perches in a prime observation spot to make sure she knows what's going on... and that she doesn't miss anything! She especially likes playing with trackballs and chasing laser lights. Annie loves contact with you and will drape-hang over your shoulder for snuggles.Abby and Annie get along well with other cats of all ages after a short intro period and each must have a welcoming feline friend and playmate if they don't get adopted together. They also grew up with Aladdin and Stuart Little. They are comfortable interacting with a large respectful dog. We haven't observed them around children though expect that they would likely do well with most gentle and respectful kids.Abby and Annie are wonderfully loving and good-natured darlings who just want to be loved. Will you make their dreams come true?Adoption processAll prospective adopters must complete an application and be interviewed as part of the adoption process.Shelter locationWe at The Rescue House believe that we can contribute to the welfare of our furry friends by implementing an Adoption Program.
